Mechanical Design Engineer (Thrust Structures)

Structures - Mechanical Design and Development

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

SpaceX is committed to developing reusable launch vehicles that will ultimately be capable of transporting humans to Mars and beyond.  The thrust structures group is responsible for the complex assemblies that attach the engines to the first stage tank of our rockets. The team’s long-term goal is to design a structure that can be re-flown many times without refurbishment.  This highly technical role will have responsibility over structures design of mechanical assemblies falling under the purview of the thrust structures group.
