Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain analyst plays an integral role in leading the development, execution, and continuous improvement of key procurement initiatives that enable the strategic vision underlying developing a world-class supply base to support SpaceX’s mission of making life multiplanetary. A team player who has exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a passion for working across disciplines to solve highly analytical issues and leading continuous improvements is key. The Supply Chain analyst will possess an insatiable hunger for learning and an ability to deep dive into issues, take a step back to recognize the interworking of the big picture, and propose a compelling business case that details a clear, actionable path forward that can be leveraged across vertical teams and centralized disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of key supply chain initiatives that enable the supply base strategic vision
  • Conduct in-depth analyses through writing Microsoft SQL queries and leveraging Excel to dive into complex problems, research solutions, synthesize ideas, and develop insightful proposals that provide a clear, actionable path forward
  • Develop dashboards that can be leveraged across supply chain vertical teams and centralized disciplines to provide quick access and visibility into key quality/cost/delivery data and business risks, driving clear improvement and mitigation actions
  • Provide process expertise and data analytics support for top strategic priorities set by vertical managers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop automation that mitigates business risk or creates efficiencies
  • Initiate, review, and approve change requests related to mass data changes or responsible processes
  • Develop and conduct trainings across teams to enable shared understanding and success
  • Create and maintain process documentation and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or similar discipline
  • Experience analyzing data and developing reports in Microsoft Excel or similar data analytics tools
  • 3+ years of process improvement or management consultant experience within a supply chain, production, or manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field or computer science
  • Highly-collaborative team player with impeccable attention to detail and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills with a bias for speed without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing multiple critical priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, volatile environment
  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and Tableau Software
  • Exposure to ERP systems
  • Exposure to lean or six sigma principles
  • Conducts all activities with the highest integrity

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
