Information System Security Manager (ISSM)

Information Security

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

Information System Security Manager (ISSM)

SpaceX is looking for an experienced information security professional with a broad technical knowledge of information technology, and a proven track-record of managing the deployment, assessment, and accreditation of information systems in secure environments. This employee will be a member of the Information Security team and will have primary responsibility for ensuring the build-out, functional status, and maintenance of an information assurance program for classified systems.  The ideal candidate will flourish in a demanding and challenging environment with little direct guidance, but a high degree of responsibility and accountability. • Report out to internal business owners and executive sponsors on status and timelines – both periodically and as independently requested.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems/IT, mathematics, physics, or similar technical discipline.

  • Demonstrated technical project management skills.
  • Track record of getting things done quickly and with quality.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

ITAR Requirements:
