  • Program, operate, clean and maintain all water jet equipment
  • Program and set-up water jet equipment using proper garnet and mixing nozzles
  • Troubleshoot program, offset, and condition settings and adjust corrections
  • Work in accordance to established safety rules and good housekeeping practices
  • Work on additional equipment or tasks outside the job description as directed by the floor supervisor for production needs or continuous improvement
  • Accurately record time and production numbers daily, and report scrap
  • Prepare daily work schedule and give work instructions to crew
  • Inspect work for quality assurance
  • Work with vendors to procure repair parts, consumables, and maintenance needs


  • 5 years of experience programming and operating water jets
  • 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes, basic hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and air grinders


  • Experience with DXF, DWG, step and various print file types
  • Experience with CNC machine operation
  • Ability to navigate documentation from production records and database
  • Ability to identify material types and thickness as associated to work orders
  • Ability to read interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specification


  • Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime and weekends, as needed
  • Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX locations when requested
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs., lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with others
